Where is the sediment coming from? It is not falling out of the sky. It looks like the same material that is used for the current “drain”.

No, the brackets will attach to the 1x2 as well. For the parts where the brackets are you add a piece of 1x2 going north to south. This also gives a bigger footing for the bracket.

That will work, but I would run a 1x2 around the walls to give a lip for the play wood to rest on. 3/4” can be used as subfloor with a joist span of 24”, so you should be fine with the weight you are planning.

I would never use something like that for a cabinet. Toggle bolts at a minimum. Personally, I would mount 1x4 strips into studs, then mount cabinet to those, then trim out the gap.

From all the posts here it sounds like you are more interested in justifying your mistake instead of learning the way to do. You have a custom application and need a custom solution and do not have the skill set it seems.

Needs to be high enough so the water does not pool by the house. Grades don’t have to be drastic to shed water. I would make it slightly higher than that walkway in the picture. If you have low spots in the yard you may want to think about a drainage channel. Yard work is easy, but time consuming.
