I don’t think that. Sorry if I implied that.

The issue is it seems that citizens have the right to possess firearms. At the very least they are a tool for rural nutmeggers.

Ammunition is already taxed above sales tax. This tax is being applied to a distinct demographic. We can assume this tax is part of a social program to depress gun ownership. As a stated it’s a relentless taking.

Please friend, don’t use that source to form any opinions. When you see “defund” think “re-allocate”. When you see “build the wall” think “arrest the employers who exploit desperate people”. When you see “woke” think “aware”.

I’m sure your military duty showed you how much can be accomplished when “the people” work together. We have to stop fighting amongst ourselves. If you lose your job and they come and take everything you worked for away ……. You’re part of the working class.

It’s an easy whataboutism. The fact is gun ownership is a complex issue. They provide recreation on skeet fields for the (generally speaking) affluent. They provide a tool for hunting for the ( generally speaking) working class.

In rural areas they provide a means of self-protection. I don’t have much use for ammunition but it seems like a particular demographic is targeted and made a scape goat.

I guess I was thinking she may have already had them.

This is why I suggested it would be necessary to get the police, etc involved. She can be conserved which would get the firearms out of her possession if she’s a danger. Permits are revoked in that situation.

Up until relatively recently one didn’t need a permit to purchase guns. There were some controls but you could have purchased a firearm at a tag sale.

I haven’t spoken to my neighbor in months. But when a big branch fell in my yard he was over with his saw to cut it up and take it away. As others say Connecticut is a funny place but it’s not full of hate. I suppose it’s easy to confuse “mind your business” with being cold.

One would need more information to give a helpful answer. Is this a civil suit against someone who has committed an assault? The practical problem is that it is generally difficult to collect a judgment should you prevail in court. Hence unless you can afford a hefty retainer it will be difficult to find an attorney to represent you.

It’s been my experience that judges in Connecticut are fair, not hostile, and understand the law.

Lived in Willimantic for twenty years, it was and is a kind town. Diversity in the schools, help for the helpless, Low income housing…… all the things that so-called liberal towns eschew. So I’m not sure how you find the town racist.

101 ………. Poor swamp Yankee victims of union busting and offshoring. Ironically enriching the financial sector who reside in those faux liberal towns.

The Brandon store is closed I think. Never said it was perfect here.
