The lack of even a loose, rudimentary understanding of the legal system is astonishing. In the same breath people will say they’re worried about slander/libel, inappropriately invoke the first amendment, and try to suggest they can successfully sue anyone and anything that inconveniences or annoys them. 😵‍💫

This argument has always struck me as wild. My landlord provides me a service; I get housing and don’t have to do or pay for any maintenance. This also means I don’t have the bulk of my savings tied up in a house.

There are unethical landlords and sleazy real estate developers, like there are bad actors in any field, but to suggest that it’s inherently unethical is preposterous. Is it unethical to make a living by selling food because food is also a basic need and a human right?

Please consider not using that word, it can really be very hurtful.

As to the substance of your argument, the charging decision at the time of complaint need not be what is ultimately charged in the indictment. 2nd degree aggravated assault seems right based on the facts as reported thus far, but there’s a whole investigation that needs to happen.

I had singha’s once for the novelty and won’t be doing that again. Felt like Dominoes but with some simmer sauce drizzled on top. I understand it’s a strong nostalgia thing for a lot of people though, and that’s a powerful force.

When you don’t really have a platform it doesn’t take much to decide you’re not interested in giving them support, and I have very little tolerance for shadiness, so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . My usual strategy for BOE is to “ticket-split” if you can call it that. I think avoiding a block is probably the best hope for preventing a runaway BOE.
