That number one bus is not reliably on time once it leaves the Pawtucket bus terminal. It is also on an intermittent schedule which is different on weekends. It stops running earlier than the rest of the bus lines. It is at risk of being cut short because that train station there is out of service indefinitely. I took that bus four days per week for three years. It was a hassle but at the time the train was a back up plan. Now that there is no train station there you’d be stranded if anything went wrong.

That commercial is a national campaign. She isn’t local. The accent the actors are doing is mimicking old film noir detective movies, not the Rhode Island accent. They use that ad all over the country. That’s why every time they say the dealership name the words are slightly spaced out. They edit together the dealer name from a list of recorded phrases.

I live in Washington Park. It has a bad rep, but in five years I have had no break ins, no car thefts or damage, and I walk to stores and food trucks with no real worry. I’m a dude, so obviously I’m less fuck-with-able than a single woman. I talk with most of my neighbors and use Nextdoor. The most trouble is bike thefts and loud cars. You can definitely find a two or three bedroom in your budget.
