This is exactly what is happening right now, how do the majority not see this? I work in a tourist area and the wealthy tourists are who the state wants, they don’t want the low income Vermonters who have lived here their whole lives. It’s terrible.

At this rate I’m genuinely concerned for the disabled and people who are on ss right now, this state is becoming more and more unaffordable for low income Vermonters, they are trying to push them out.

We don’t want our Vermont to turn into your shitty California, fuck off, this is the Vermont subreddit so don’t lecture Vermonters on how we should feel about things that are happening in OUR state and our communities.

Wow they really hate low income Vermonters, so tired of the people who run this state making life harder for the people who live here.

Spring water is the best, and usually just as clean if not cleaner than town water.

Vermont is a great place for the lgbtq community, most people are very accepting and Vermont was one of the first states to legalize gay marriage, so I don’t think you or your wife will have any problem regarding your orientation, but you might have a hard time finding a house, or one at an affordable price, because Vermont is currently in the midst of a housing crisis that was exaggerated due to Covid and people moving up from the major cities.

I lived in vt my whole life, Beauty is definitely one reason, but I think people move here because there is more space and it’s a lot safer than a city. Many people don’t want to live in an overpopulated area, so they come up here from the big cities.

That was going around last year too, had it for a few days, sucked.

It’s a shame you didn’t come when it’s warmer, I know the perfect places for you to swim in Jeff, but when you go to jeffersonville you’ll see a covered bridge by an old mill, that’s got a really cool trail close by that leads to a waterfall. Also you can hike sterling up in the notch.
