Private, Catholic education has been dying in Pennsylvania for a long time.
The Catholic Church would not subsidize their members for schooling. PA public schools let Catholic kids out for “selective education”.
The most robust Catholic schools are urban/semi-urban. The charter schools are crazy and incompetent.
If you want Catholic education, that’s mostly urban/semi-urban.

Pennsylvania used to have environmental regulation with real teeth, until Corbett rolled it bs k to appease the gas industry.
Conservation and environmental protection used to be something even PA republicans cared about and advocated for.
Hopefully Shapiro can ramp up the DEP to be like it used to be.

You’ll feel right at home. Except for the driving like idiots part, most people just won‘t drive in it at all.
There’s no need to winterize your vehicle, unless you work in a hospital or some other on call occupation that doesn’t close. There’s usually only a few storms a year, but they can deliver significant snow when it happens.

There also wasn’t a well-funded, decades long PR effort devoted to making the ozone hole bigger because a significant sized business lobby made billions off it and consequences be damned.

Wow, it’s almost like scientists could alert the world to a big problem, and countries worldwide could coordinate to fix the issue.

Yeah, I’m not sure about the roads there right now, but it’s been really warm the last few days, so they should be fairly clear if they are paved.
This site has some info on PA road conditions and construction.
Eagles Mere is definitely worth it if the museums are open.
