Reply to Why are games so expensive nowdays? by PythonEntusiast
What if I told you N64 games used to be $80+? New, in 1997 dollars? Games are arguably cheaper than they've ever been, because $80 in 1997 generally bought you way the hell more than $80 in 2023.

She just wants that dirty plate. This is why you shouldn't eat in bed.

Ah, that building looks a lot like the bar they own on Always Sunny in Philadelphia (but its in Los Angeles, not Toronto).

New Vegas had the better story. It was also made by some of the same devs that worked on Fallout 2. NV is closer to Fallout 3 than Fallout 3 was, the true sequel.

The first person bits threw me off, too, but I pushed through and actually found it decent enough to read the rest of the trilogy.
The first person perspective does ultimately end up being there for a reason, and is involved in a brilliant twist in the first book (and, if I'm remembering right, A sorta ok twist in the third).

Depends on what I want. Lately I mostly bounce back and forth between Witcher 3, Xcom 2, and Darkest Dungeon. I like having a lot of strategic options on how to progress through a game.

Mostly Stephen King (I have around half of his books, which doesn't sound like much until you realize he has like, 70 books).

I buy used, there's specific authors I like to collect (King, Koontz, Straub, and Gaiman). My most recent score was a first edition copy of Desperation for $3.
