North facing roofs will not benefit from solar, and in addition this bill ignores the challenges of adding a whole bunch of micro grids interconnected to the utility. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea but there’s more that needs to be taken into consideration

You’re right my bad. I don’t agree with mandating that on single family dwellings

I could be wrong but I believe the bill is geared more towards commercial builds. I agree requiring smaller residential builds to have solar would be ridiculous

I could see requiring it for commercial builds but requiring it for residential is ridiculous at this point

Damn this really sucks. He’s been great for the program and it’s even better he was from here. I don’t see a single candidate they could find that would satisfy replacing him. But you could tell by his quotes in the media he was already planning on leaving for some time, did not deny anything

I agree with you but I just know as an engineer in construction I’d much rather build a new building then renovate an existing one. Don’t blame me I’m not the state lol

To be fair, it is immensely complicated and costly to renovate a building that old compared to building a new one. When the Superman Building was constructed they didn’t have to take into consideration the requirements of a modern building

These psycho fucks wanna make generations of kids who think segregation never happened, science is a choice, and anyone who is different from them should be feared.
Florida is already the laboratory for these insane experiments, I don’t want it up here too. It won’t be seen in the short term but the Republican led assault on school systems that often vilifies teachers could have a massive impact on the outcome of this country in the long term in an extremely negative way.

Other countries have government funded health care, pay less for it, and have better outcomes. These are literal facts, but go on and keep supporting an objectively horrible system

This is so sad, blows my mind there’s so many people who still think basic necessities shouldn’t be covered by the government after reading things like this all the time

Reply to Restaurant Perspective of RI Food Fights by RIffstaurant
As someone who had bought a coupon bookI’m not even going back to that sleezeball. Bought the book, then Covid hit, it became unusable. I asked for a refund, didn’t hear anything. All I got were some emails saying something along the lines of he’s “working something up” and then eventually he was just like promotion is canceled no refunds.
Which I was fine with at first cause I was assuming that part of the coupon book cost was going to the restaurants. And it was a tough time to be a restaurant so at the end of the day, happy to help.
But now based on this post it sounds like he doesn’t even pay the restaurants and just asks them to put up a bunch of free food. That makes it pretty upsetting that this dude just pocketed a bunch of people’s cash for nothing. What a dick

Jayd Bun is some of the best Chinese food in the state and potentially, New England. Pasquale’s is awesome, their pasta is great too, not just their pizza. It’s always al dente. Just a solid Italian restaurant. Neither of these are necessarily hidden gems though.
Sea View market makes a killer deli sandwich, size wise you get hooked up if you get a large, and has somehow barely been affected by inflation.
Quonnie Farms in Charlestown also makes a wicked good sandwich and has great pizza among other prepared foods.
Spain in Narragansett is one of the most overrated restaurants in the entire state imo. Not necessarily bad food, but not anywhere near the hype or price.
Matunuck oyster bar is usually really good but it’s $$$

Team is really good now, looking like a perennial contender, so ticket prices have gone up on the resale market. If you want to pay less you gotta buy direct from the PC box office when they go on sale for the season
