I don't have direct experience with that, though I am curious: is that only an issue if your panel is near/below a tree? If you have a rooftop installation which is otherwise clear of trees do you still need to worry about this?

Richmond has more pollen than average, but is not among the top 10 worst places to live with allergies

That seems like a prudent response that still lead to an arrest.

I like that the medians give pedestrians a safe stepping stone to cross the street half at a time instead of waiting for the rare case when the whole road to stop for them. I really think pedestrian islands like these make it much safer to cross.
I'm not sure that traffic circles like these make anyone safer though. It seems like there would continuously be traffic, making it harder for pedestrians to cross even half way

I would point out that RPS did that without a principals' union

It sounds like you like small, safe places with easy access to nature and an easy commute into Richmond.
If I'm reading you right, you might consider Lakeside. Closer to town, still small town feel, sandwiched between Bryan park and Botanical gardens, and a few local shops and bars.

Reply to How long do you think it is before RVA meets the same fate of cities like Austin? by piratestears
Not a direct comparison. Places like Austin have a huge tech market that helps drive their growth specifically. In contrast, remote work lets some people move to Richmond, but those jobs are not specific to Richmond and the remote workers are spread across many municipalities.

I also work from home and own my own computer, but I expect my employer to buy my work equipment. I'm not installing their software on my machine. They pay my internet connection and phone too. (Edit: they pay for my work phone, specifically).
I don't expect them to pay for my workspace because they offer a workspace and I decline to use it. But if they didn't offer one at all I would expect more money.

Same.
Conversely, I think I would enjoy my local coffeeshop a lot more if I could get a seat while I eat. Instead, it's clogged by WFH-types exploiting the false economy of the coffeeshop bench.

For comparison, $3 coffee * twice a day * 20 business days in a month = $120. That is already greater than the "pay-as-you-go" monthly membership dues at gather (which includes free coffee all day).
Op should just join a paid co-working space.
