Emile Hirsch is in some of my favorite movies. It’s weird how his career has really sagged recently with a bunch of poor scripts. He kinda reminds me of River Pheonix in his prime.

Jem was surprisingly entertaining on a recent rewatch. I feel like it’s not the norm that they are so good.

You are kissing out if you liked the pre final season of GOT. It covers a lot but not force rushed like the show runners have a plane to catch. And the characters don’t yet become Flanderized like Jon Snow towards the end.

I read the book after the show started and it was a good complement to the show. The story is told based on accounts as read by a Maester, so lots of conflicting events and accounts. Which makes the show fun to see what “really happened”. It helps a lot with knowing the characters, especially with how quick the first episodes felt.

Plus it’s worth it just to get up to where Jaherys has the great council to support Vesarhys. I did the audiobook so I can’t spell shit.
