Honestly my main issue with it is there is two lanes. Often if I start walking in front of that car, cars in the other lane cannot see me and I have difficult seeing them. I’d just rather cars go and I find an opening myself.

IDK, when I lived in Savannah, which has a much larger St Patties celebration, whenever it fell on a weekend like a Friday or Saturday, it was a complete shit show. I mean it was always a shit show, but on a weekend it really was. Maybe they wanted to avoid that.

Doesn't surprise me. Used to hit up Ipanema for karokee and that was a full on "hipster" scene and those kids knew the word to every common country song. Ton of people in Richmond like the likes of Tyler Childers or Sturgill Simpson and what not.

I don't know what it is, but I used to frequent that place back when Baja was still open. I just sort of stopped having the desire some 5-6 years ago. I couldn't exactly tell you why.

Aside from what tennisprofosho said, a very minimal time is spent doing that. I've worked in a restaurant as a waiter and dealing with carry out orders. Charging 20% on takeout is straight up criminal.

Are you sure? The last time I heard someone claim this about a different restaurant, it was a tax line with meal and sales tax combined. It would be so stupid and easy to get busted for fraud doing this.

If I recall right, Tobacco actually enforces a collared shirt rule for the downstairs area.
