When I moved to Jersey, I moved to Hoboken. One year later I moved to Jersey City and I've been here for 17 years.

Jersey City five stars, highly recommend.

Not sure if you're partial to that area or not, but I live in a 2 BR downtown and my rent is 1750. There are a lot of good apartments of you move away from the larger buildings. May not be what you're looking for though.

I gotta be honest. I could make all the money in the world and I wouldn't live in a doorman building. Nothing against the people who do. I just don't need to know extra people? Maybe? Forced socialization is tough.
