There are several in this area of town. It’s down grand past sunshine so it’s a bit of a bike, but it’s cheap. The closer you get to campus, the more you’re going to pay.

According to google maps, it’s a 1.5 mile bike ride. Says 7 mins.

Springfield is filled with NIMBY’s. They don’t want a homeless population, but also no homeless shelters. Lower rents, but no developments. More jobs, but no new businesses.

If you feel like sharing, what sort of work do you do at the hospital? I’m a nurse and I can give you some insight on where might be a good fit. Mercy is a complete shit-show

The biggest employers in Springfield are: Oreily Auto Parts, Cox Health, Mercy, Bass Pro, Kraft, T-Mobile, Chase, MSU, 3M, American National, AWG, and Expedia.
You should be able to get $15-$18 an hour. So many call center jobs here.
The rental market has exploded here and you can expect to pay $800-$1200 for a decent one bedroom. (Be prepared for the slew of comments to follow about how you can get an apartment for $600 a month here. ) You probably can, but it’s not going to be a great rental.

Traffic tickets are a big money maker for the city and state. It’s holiday season too, so most out -of-state people will not contest the ticket and just pay it.

The medium home price here is $240,000. If you borrowed the whole amount at 6 percent. The payment is $1439 before taxes and insurance.
After taxes, your bringing home $3494 a month.
You could do it, but it’s going to be tight.

You can take your own photos. Just follow the requirements. Just take the imagine in to anyplace that will print the photo for you. It’s cheaper.

Nixa has the best schools in the area. Should be able to settle there on that budget

Dr Haverstick in Nixa is amazing, but Mercy as an organizational whole is awful.

Either one is trash and not worth your time. What you do to your own body is none of their business.

Reply to my lease ends November 15th at my apartment, which is owned by TLC. they want to charge us a full months rent in November. can they do this if we're out before the 1st? by Snoo_84090
TLC is predatory. Look at your lease to see when your move out date is. You’re only required to pay until that date

Some companies will not hire or will fire you for weed use, even if it’s legal in this state.

Reply to In Missouri can a landlord request/demand proof of a service animals credentials? by EdBlake1986
They can’t ask for proof, but even if they could, there’s no proof to be had because there’s no kind of universal service animal license.
They also can’t charge you a pet deposit or pet rent because it’s a service animal, not a pet.
They can only ask you two questions:
- is the dog a service animal required because of a disability
- what work or task has the dog been trained to perform.
That’s it. Print the pamphlet, and send it to them

Avoid TLC, they don’t take care of their properties and they have a fee for everything under the sun. I spent 4 years with them.
