Hell yeah he does, I didn't like him in the beginning either. But by the end, he was my favourite.
The first season of The Expanse is difficult for many people and even though I only needed a couple episode, I can understand why.
As someone else already said, seasons 2 & 3 are absolutely phenomenal though. Some of the best TV I've ever seen.
Season 4 is not bad either, but not as great as the previous two. Seasons 5/6 are still good compared to other shows, but overall a bit disappointing I would say.

The should have gotten him as the replacement when Steve Carell left the show, that episode in season 9 legit made me mad at the missed potential.

...what? Do you simply dislike books, or why would you prefer the show?
IMO the books are so much better, it's not even close.

S6 still had some really good moments/episodes and the overall pacing was also fine, compared to S7/8.
It was much better than S5, which doesn't get nearly enough hate IMO. I read the books afterwards and the way that the Dorne plot was butchered in the TV adaption is absolutely disgusting.

There's also the theory the she will be used to resurrect Jon in the books, but that's kinda out there lol

Of course having some dynaminc range can be good. But the way that Nolan and friends use it is absolutely ridiculous and way overdone. That's what makes it so annyoing, even if there is an artistic/realistic aspect to it.

I hate this trend so fucking much, it pretty much never enhances the viewing experience. In 95% of the cases, it's just annoying.

It's kinda hard to say, but no other show has made me feel the emotions that this show made me feel, on that level.
Idk if "scary" is the best word for it, but I agree with you. It's scary in a very different way than most other "scary" shows.

Booster Gold has a very interesting premise IMO.

I mean, I get their point tbh.
Rick and Morty has some great episodes, but some really terrible ones as well. It's very hit or miss IMO.

Awards without gendered categories would not work because people would get mad if one gender wins more awards. The could add a third category and call it "diverse" or whatever, but idk if that's the best solution either.
But I personally think that the award industry is absolutely pointless and should be disregarded either way.

They were/are the main distributor, so most of the money goes through them or is affected by their statistics etc.
But like I said, I was talking about streaming in general.

I think there is a lot of shady shit going on at Netflix and other streaming services when it comes to money.
It's very hard to define profits, revenue etc. And much easier to conceal/move some stuff that it would be for traditional theater/broadcast releases.

This is a joke, right? TWOW is going to be a massive bestseller, his publisher can't wait to finally get that cash. They might want to split the book in two for profits, but who cares. And even if they split it, I don't think we'll get another AFFC/ADWD situation.

It's definitely selfish, but GRRM is partly at fault for giving deadlines and not following up on them, multiple times.
I can totally understand that he likes to do other stuff, but I think he should at least be honest with his fans about it.

He has been optimistic about the books being finished before, so if you take all his missed deadlines into account it really doesn't mean anything.
Unless he is secretly writing two (or more) books at the same time, I don't see him being able to finish either of his unfinished series in the ASOIAF universe.

I wish he would just come out and say that he's not gonna finish the books. It would also finally put an end to people (including me) getting annoyed/frustrated when he "wastes" his time doing other stuff.

Yeah I don't do weekly watches anymore.
The only show that I made an exception for was Better Call Saul. And even for that show, I waited until the season was almost finished until I started watching.
