I'm just saying that I think a "half truth" is a thing, and not just media jargon. Don't take my word on it though, it's in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and the Collins Dictionary.

This reads to me like there is ambiguity due to the lack of full context.

In a sworn testimony, you swear to tell the "whole truth", which implies the existence of partial truths.

I hear you, but I have to admit it's hard to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they're not speaking literally when they've recently made the fantastic claim that they literally caused a woman's amputated toes to grow back.

This makes a lot of sense. My girlfriend drinks a lot of Red Diamond and I remember her refusing to drink a gallon once because it tasted bad, but she hasn't had that problem since we started going to Price Cutter more.
