For now, but battery production includes some very dirty mining and there’s not enough raw materials in the world to supply the amount of electrified cars, trucks, and buses we need. ESG experts are aware of this. More than likely, hydrogen will be the answer. However, hydrogen production is also carbon intensive.

It’s nice the bus is electric, but over 90% of RI’s electricity comes from natural gas. Wind makes up just .5% percent. Electrifying vehicles only makes sense if you decarbonize the grid. Wind just doesn’t make enough energy.

Weird, maybe, but I think it would be an improvement over the same tired talking points being thrown back-and-forth with no real appreciable changing of opinions or positions. Online political discussions are self indulging exercises in one-upmanship which have been statistically demonstrated to not change opinions.

Park and Ride near the airport + Uber/Lift is a cheaper option than Garage C. Total cost typically is about $22-$30 all together. It depends on your trip duration, of course. But if you’re going to be gone for more than 3 days, it’s totally worth it.

Have you ever heard of “Buy Nothing” groups of FB? Very useful for sharing unwanted items without wasting them. Each town has its own group.

I walk into my local Dunkin, and see five of neighbors waiting for coffee. I survey them and learn that 3x make $60k a year, one makes $90k, and the last one makes $130k. The median is $80k, pretty close to the average you shared here. However, this data does not really tell you what the “average” person makes in your neighborhood. Someone making $250k could easily live next to a pensioner making $30k. Taleb does a great job explaining the asymmetric nature of social data in “Fooled by Randomness.”

In short, I really have no idea what the average income is in RI with a simple median income calculation.
