I've taken the airport line after connecting from the El when timing works out just right, but that's not sustainable since the trip is 1 hour or more, when a drive is 15 min. It's bafflingly bad. In the past 4 trips, I've only used transit once due to lack of frequency, and I'm 5 min from an El stop.

I've been using a refill service for household goods, called "The Rounds". It's supposed to reduce packagjng for common stuff and you can return jars, bottles, and bags for them to reuse. It's pretty good! I don't use it for everything, but I haven't bought toilet paper, oil, cleaners, etc from a store in over a year.

It sucks how true this is. For all the shit that Philly residents give NYC, Philly could learn a thing or 2 about transit. In the same time frame, the MTA modernized the 2 fleets subway cars, completed one subway line extension, is working on the 2nd Ave extension, and planning an entirely new line. Meanwhile, Philly is thinking about moving bus routes around... Ugh, it's so damn frustrating
