I still have a 2016 iPhone SE for work, still being updated even though it’s stuck on ios15. I legitimately don’t know anyone with a 2016 galaxy s7, but in my company we’re almost all on SE first gen still, except the new folks who get the 2022.
I really don’t know any phone with better durability from that time or before then, both in usability in time or hardware longevity. That being said, most phones, including Androids released today are bound to stay relevant for a very long time compared to older devices, because hardware is way more mature across the board and OEMs like Samsung improved support timetables.
If you’re strapped for cash and want an iPhone, you could go with refurbs, older iPhones or the SE.
Ultimately, it depends mostly on what you want from your phone, if you’re big on hardware, you’ll get better bang for your buck in midrange or lower high range Androids. If you’re big on camera it’s premium iPhone, Pixel, Samsung S, or bust, etc.
You have a choice since you’re not bound by an ecosystem, might as well look at all your options :)

:30 - :33 is probably a single take with varying zoom/lens, edited to be on beat and with a stagger
:34 - :37 is less edited and you see the actual transition between the zoom/lenses

Man that sucks, hope you’re ok OP, for the price, do you have AC+ ?
What brand of protections did you have on ? This might help people in their choices

Not sure of what point in the video you’re referring to, but most of what he does here is also edited for effect

Might want to try to mitigate oled PWM
Edit: Reports have been that the higher flickering frequency in iPhone 14 pro made it better for those affected though

Are you talking about zoom levels ? I’m not sure I understand, are you asking if you can switch it in the middle of a video ? If so yes you can.

They went with the same logic they have in control center, for instance if you just press the timer button, it takes you to the app but long pressing gives you an integrated quick timer selection.
I thought the same as you when it was presented and I understand what you mean. But now that I have it, I find myself wanting to go to the actual app more often than just wanting to peek into the shorthand version. For instance, when using the new Apollo live activity, when I interact with the island, I want to go to the thread in-app not just peek into it.

May help you to also make a list of thing you like about it. It’s different, but once you get used to using it as it’s designed you’ll probably enjoy it. If not, you still have plenty of options that aren’t iPhones :)

Would help if you had pics or the reference of your case, it could be for the iPhone 14 plus. Otherwise try putting it on one side first (I recommend the left side with volume buttons) then pop the other side in.

Not common on average, otherwise insurance wouldn’t be profitable and therefore wouldn’t exist. I mean it’s game theory, there’s not much to argue about ultimately :)

It’s insurance and like all insurance it depends on the user. Obviously you can take out insurance and nothing happens and that’s the most common case, that’s how they make money. If you can afford an iPhone 14 promax, depending on the price of AppleCare where you live it might be silly to not insure something so expensive to replace. But ultimately it’s up to you, how likely is it that you’ll break or lose it ?
