Do not form opinions about the city based on the subreddit. It is regularly brigaded by people who only watch crime news and the citizen app.
There is also a divide based on gender, and this I understand. What might be fine for a lone guy on the subway might not be safe/safe enough for a lady riding alone.
The El is the main public transit that has problems. It runs through Kensington and that means a lot of opioid addicts use it for both transit and somewhere to shoot up.
The rest of SEPTA is significantly more tame.
You will never hear someone say "oh my ride was so nice" because that's just not how public transit works. The best it can be is boring. You're not flying Qatar Airways.

Ding ding ding.
Cars do not follow any rules based on customs or signage. The only correct approach is physical.

They should have made the truck more narrow. There's not enough parking.

In their defense, like 3-4 of those listens are burgers, 3-4 are for wings, and 3-4 are for pizza. It's not too hard of a menu to juggle.

I had an $10/mo Amex credit for ubereats and most of these places are close enough that delivery would be stupid. And that's how you end up looking at the map view on UE.

Top Tomato is also like 20 businesses on UberEats. Seorabol is Korean Express, too.

Thank you for actually posting rates. Half these discussions are usually "my bill was $X" and no breakdown of how that was achieved.

That's, uh, impressively stupid.

San Fran blew right past this and, instead of tying them to one restaurant, made them public spaces to be approved by the city instead of placing an enormous burden on a singular business at a time.

Not having a walk-up window to stay safely open during weird circumstances is an absolute folly in this city.
Homo Hut handles all the drunk as fuck crowds at 2-3am regularly by selling through the window.

The people who stole are going on trial, and quite likely to fairly serious prison time.
The Taco Bell off the North Philly BSL stop had more security to hand over a fucking bean burrito.
Meanwhile, there's 60 fire arms on the street that we're most likely not recovering because these stores treated security like a joke.
They're going to get paired with stolen cars and used for crimes that will be a nightmare for both the PPD's clearance rates and the DA's conviction rate.

> In each robbery, the group got into the gun store, broke glass display cases, grabbed numerous guns and fled, the DA's said.
Really? I've been to Taco Bells with more security than this.

I get it's a thing for kids to do.
People like boxing.
I don't even think the city was defrauded of a worth-investigating amount of money in this case, just someone didn't follow the rules of how these grants were supposed to work.
But boxing? The thing that makes the CTE rates of the NFL look like a gentle sport?

Reply to SS United States Conservancy in rent dispute with Pier 82 landlord by Marko_Ramius1
> After the new rent went into effect, Penn Warehousing said the conservancy continued to pay the original $850 a day. By March 2022, the landlord decided to terminate its berthing agreement with the conservancy citing more than $160,000 in back rent that continues to accrue. Penn Warehouse asked the nonprofit to move the vessel, which the conservancy has yet to do.
> The conservancy argues there’s a shortage of available docks due to the COVID-19 pandemic disruptions, further complicating a sudden move.
