Reply to Touching the Liberty Bell by z7q2
When I fell and hurt myself outside of the Liberty Bell enclosure in 2012, the park ranger helped me inside and sat me on a chair about 3 feet away from the Bell itself. He cleaned and bandaged me, which was really nice of him. It was a pretty cool experience being that close to the Bell, but I still didn’t get to touch it.
(Long story short for the curious, I was wearing flip flops heading somewhere nearby, a pouring rain hit, I was trying to scurry to shelter and ended up biting it. Had a big gash on my foot from the corner of the curb.).

My friend used to live right by the zoo there. She enjoyed it, but she had children. We used to go to the zoo all the time, which is pretty great. Didn’t have too many issues with the neighborhood although I know it can get worse a couple blocks further down. They lived there until the children were pre-school aged and then moved out because she and her husband didn’t want to send them to Norristown schools.

I want to see Gritty and Drum Line Elmo drumming together at the head of a parade. Which parade I won’t say just in case.

I was once driving behind a ShopRite truck that had a cardboard license plate with all the information written on it with a Sharpie

Founding Fathers sports bar just opened a second location in Bensalem, but I don’t know if that would qualify as “well-known” enough.
