NAL, but enforcing deed restrictions is up to the entity that put the restrictions in place. If that entity is a person you might just ask them about it. I know someone who has property with restrictions put in place by a land trust. They can ask the trust to modify the covenants, no guarantee that it will happen. Try the simplest solution first and see what happens.

The bonds are state issued and ultimately guaranteed by the state so the interest rate will be very low. That's the key to making the numbers work. The interest rate will be roughly half of what the utilities GUARANTEED profit margin is. That's fairly simple math in favor of the takeover.

VIP is the worst but plenty of other places will do the same thing. Sullivan Tire has a similar reputation. Some places pay a commission to the inspector for work generated by the inspection. So they get a bonus for finding problems with your car. Rowell's in Dover Foxcroft is a great place but a little far from Newport. You want to bring your car to a small independent shop, not a chain.

Not a lawyer but my MIL got a bill 16 months after a hospital visit and I wrote them a letter saying "too f***ing late" in more polite terms. Never got a reply and never got another bill. It's worth a try. I wouldn't just blow it off, they will send it to collections and you don't want to deal with that.

Sorry to say it's all protected free speech. The only way I know to cut down on the mail you receive is to contact both political parties and ask to be taken off the mailing list. Tell them you know who you are voting for and they aren't going to change your mind. They will most likely ask who and it won't hurt to be honest. They don't want to waste money on decided voters. This won't help with unaffiliated groups that are working independently of the major parties. The other strategy is to vote absentee as early as possible. That won't affect mail but might cut down on robocalls. Although those seem to be less of an issue this year.

Sorry to say this but Poloquin certainly does have a chance to win that race. I think Jared Golden is a much better person to represent CD2 but that district voted for trump by 7 points. Poloquin would not be getting millions of dollars in direct and indirect spending if he didn't have a realistic chance. The R candidate in CD1 isn't getting that support because he doesn't have a chance.
