I couldn't even finish Fairy Tale. King's kids have gotten to be pure tropes these days. I think King tries to give characters and especially kids, some very specific tics and slang to make them "unique" in a place and time. And then he just over-does it to the point of caricature. Almost like he's making them "overly unique."

His "good" kids are so overly earnest and respectful that they just become very phony.

I'v had this problem with King since the 1980s. I vastly prefer his short stories versus his novels since the mid '80s. There's less of this caricature building.

My 7 Plus is still going very strong. The battery isn't quite as great as it once was, but everything about it works just fine still. I easily get more than an entire day of charge unless I run any GPS app (turn-by-turn driving instructions, which I seldom do). Granted I am not a power-user when it comes to phones, but I'm probably average in my usage and it's easily the most long lived mobile device I've ever had. Maybe I just got lucky.

I can see some upsides. But the one friend who was demonstrating it for me had similar issues like you had. He said he had everything set up really well for a while, then it stopped working perfectly. He re-adjusted it over and over. Then eventually instead of fixing it, he just started turning lights on manually like before. I think he started having troubles when they added more stuff to it, and it just plain didn't work with his new TV.

Well put. No matter what they did in season 3—repeatedly—everything went back to where they started.

I loved season 1 & 2. Honestly, my guess is I won't like what they do with season 4. Maybe they'll pull the ending together for the final season. I haven't read where the comic books end, so I have no idea where or if they are going with that same ending. Who knows. After season 3, I'm only mildly looking forward to season 4.

Shame.

I'm still curious if The Boys will make two more good seasons. Season three was a mixed bag for me. I really want the next two final seasons to be great, but the show and concept just feels to be running out of steam. I hope I'm wrong about that and we get two more fantastic seasons.

This spin-off? Meh. I might watch if it gets great reviews. But really, not everything needs a dozen seasons, reboots, spin-offs, etc.
