I want to shop there, but the treats are too powerful. Just the regular chocolate chip cookies are outstanding. The cheese cakes, the regular cakes, good god the 5 layer cakes and strawberry short cakes. I can't shop next to crack. Who could buy apples after that? You'd have to be a navy seal to walk past all that and buy lettuce. C'mon.

I just taught my kid to drive and I'll tell you what I tell her: People make mistakes. They make them all the time. But it takes two cars to get in an accident, the other drivers are trying to avoid you too. Think of all the bad drivers you've dodged over the years. They owe you one.

You're set up for success, even if you make a mistake there's an extra level of safety. The other guy doesn't want to hit you either. The worst you get is an angry beep.

Now consider your car. Modern cars are a wonder of safety. A guy in California just tried to commit suicide with his family driving his Tesla (arguably the shoddiest car) over a cliff into the ocean. No one died. Your air bags will protect you.

I wish I could take you back to the 1970s when I was a boy. My aunt Lil hit something every time she took the car out. Sometimes she barely made it out of the driveway. I guarantee you are a better driver than her. They replaced the fence next to her driveway three times before they just gave up and let it sit broken.

Once, we went to a couple of grateful dead concerts at RFK stadium. We toured the capital during the day. We were getting on the train that links another office building and capital there he was, getting off. Teddy, bigger than life. He was talking with a guy and he was deadly serious. Like someone was going to die serious. He was scary. But When he saw us his demeanor completely changed. He lit up and shook our hands like the Nicest guy you’d ever meet. Everybody must have these swings of emotion all the time, but with teddy it was like he radiated his mood. You could feel it on him.

He was old, but still handsome as fuck.

Look man, democrats don't need to steel elections. They have a clear majority everywhere. It's only republican gerrymandering, the electoral college, and the nature of the Senate favoring less populated states that keeps them artificial going. Oh and the Fox news propaganda machine to which you are so obviously devoted.

If it were up to a popular vote there'd only be Republicans in Alabama and Mississippi. In other words, the dumbest states.

Sure, 75 years ago, maybe, but now? C'mon.

People who look to the clergy for wisdom, or too a particularly old person are misguided. No one is more wise than an experienced elementary school principle or teacher. (or adjustment councilor).

Gandalf the Grey would be proud.

I once remarked to my kid’s elementary school principle that the school was such a happy place. She said that’s because all these kids are wanted. I will never forget that. The way she said it. Jesus it haunts me to this day.

I don’t understand why we have to choose one over the other. I’m just glad to live in Massachusetts. Everywhere is great. West and east. Just because I like chocolate ice cream doesn’t mean coffee ice cream is gross. I just had to choose one.

By the way the ice cream out west is world class. In this case you should go with coffee. Holy god it is good.
