NJ is very employee friendly. I work in healthcare and we have fired people for stealing from patients. They still applied for and received unemployment, albeit often with a delay (like a month).

Some folks like to watch that the attendant doesn't spill any gas on the car, and some folks like to see that they are being properly charged (you can't always see the numbers from inside the car).

New highways lead to new development, new development leads to more traffic. In the end you just have less green space and you're sitting in traffic on a highway instead of a country road.

Not necessarily non-tax dollars. If they are working on a road crew, whether it be a town, county, or state road, the taxpayer is still paying.

The resellers are not stealing taxpayers money, they are following the laws and regulations that our politicians put in place. If you don't like the laws and regulations our elected representatives enact, then vote for someone else.

Most NJ state agencies and commission are inefficient and corrupt, the bistate authorities are the worst. This one, the Port Authority, the DRJTBC are all tremendous money wasters.

Bi-state commission run by unions, corrupt politicians and organized crime terminates double dipping assemblyman. Yeah, might be more to this story.

Trenton, Newark, and Camden, among others, have a long history of politicians going to jail. And I would guess that most are not caught or charged.

NJ has more governmental units (county, cities, towns, villages, school districts, authorities, etc.) than IL. There is almost no contract granted in NJ, whether it be for construction, legal services, insurance, investment advice, etc. without some payoff or influence peddling.

That wasn't my only evidence. And the fact that more people in government go to jail in Chicago/IL than NJ isn't persuasive. Just because more get caught and convicted doesn't prove that there is more crime and corruption.

Lived in NJ over 50 years. I've known some politicians, and I've known some people that paid for favors and influence.

True, but that could mean the ones in NJ are better at cover ups.

Extremely loosely based on a real story. It is true that a homeowner in Westfield got a few letters, the rest is imagination.

The socio culture is the same in Camden as in Princeton as in West New York as in Alpine? I don't think so.

PATH to Newark Penn Station, NJ Transit to Trenton, Uber from there? Or if you are looking for great exercise and beautiful scenery bring bicycles and ride up the Delaware Canal.
