We (as in the city) just passed a resolution limiting them to only 8 years of service (technically they can work somewhere else within the government, but the reality is they only get 2 terms). Is it any wonder they want a pension to start at that point?

But it's brewed in Ohio and Georgia. It hasn't been brewed in the city for about 40 years now (last brewed get in 78)

The mid-atlantic region of the US (from DC -> NY) has a GDP of 5.2 trillion making it the third largest economy in the world. 200K to live in one of the richest parts of the entire world sounds like a great deal to me.
