All Dutch ovens are BIFL. Ceramic not so much. Even Le Creuset and Staub can have failed ceramic after decades or from accidental bumps and scrapes. Warranties help with this but truly BIFL pieces are bare iron which will last centuries unchanged if not physically broken.

Most green initiatives are bullshit. Your business exists to make money, not make the earth greener. Don't drink the kool-aid.

Gloves like this take serious abuse and won't last more than a few seasons. Silicone lasts a long time, but dexterity is a problem. Ove Glove can be good, but not with a long cuff as far as I remember.

Fun fact: Kingsford charcoal started as a way to recycle all the excess wood used in wheel making at Ford in the early 20th century.

Breaking down in the landfill is irrelevant to their function as a grocery bag.
And besides, nothing in the landfill needs to break down. Most of it will not and that's perfectly fine.
Again, please don't be upset. I'm only sharing common knowledge.

What's confusing about it? Plastic is the lightest, most durable, most cost effective material for grocery bags. In the western world they are disposed of in state of the art landfills and every bag you use in your life will be less waste than the last mattress or couch you threw out.

Reply to “Quality” products from “Quality” retailers by reptomcraddick
In the 50s you had a big focus on quality at high cost because people remembered how important it was to have things that did not wear out in the depression era. Today we are far more focused on buying based on economics than for quality. No, not a lot of things we buy at Target or Lowe's will last 40 years, but it's so cheap that it doesn't really matter.
