No one sane is saying all men are violent assholes. The problem is that the majority of "homicidal" violent assholes happen to be exclusively men. The second leading cause of death for men expecting children is not murder by pregnant wife.

The message should not be "all men are bad" that's ridiculous. Our society has a cultural problem causing these crimes and we need to address it.

One of the best ways to combat generational abuse and break the cycle is to seek therapy prior to having children of your own. It's important to get an outside perspective of what normal should be. So many people fail to realize that just because you're doing a better job than your parents, it doesn't mean you're doing a "good" job.

Yep, I speak from experience. My own father used to dangle my little dog over the balcony and threaten to throw her off when he would argue with my mother.

Honestly, I bet it was his kids or partners dog. Perpetrators of domestic abuse often take it out on the pets and use the threat of something happening to the pet to control their victims.

To be honest, even if the drug does occasionally kill people and doesn't always work, it will still be worth it for people. Once you get Alzheimer's, you, as a person, basically die anyway and you get replaced by someone who is often cruel or violent towards your loved ones, while you waste away for years.

If given the choice to suffer through that or take a potential treatment that might kill me quickly instead, I would take the treatment. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease.
