Listen, if you're a liberal and especially if you are involved with Yale - do something constructive. There are tens of thousands of people in the city whose living standards are practically third world. That is far more important than "hate crimes", most of which are of dubious veracity.

The crime is the best and brightest of the world can't figure out how to turn neighborhoods next to their university campus into something other than a slum.

There are actually more upper income nodes in Hartford County vs New Haven County.

The best place for Whole Foods to open up a location next is in New Haven. But, that location based on long standing urban goals is in the lower level of a new construction building. Amazon is probably waiting for the "right" new construction building.

The next location would probably be Cheshire. I don't think anywhere else has adequate highway access to warrant a location.

I actually live in Milford, and our Whole Foods is rather small compared to the numerous ones in Fairfield County.

That was really just an exercise to see if the average age here was 19. "Oh look at the dumbass who doesn't shoe appropriate deference to the satanists! I am so much smarter than him, downvote to make my dick hard!"

I have thoughtful conversations with and without fairytales all the time.

Even an intelligent college student who has a superficial understanding of Nietzsche knows that fairytales are an essential part of the human experience. Did anyone believe Homer was a divine book? No.

All humans have their gods, whether they believe they believe they are real or not.

Wait a second, you are:

  1. Mistakenly thinking that mass media is an authority?

  2. Incorrectly believing that violent protests are a rarity in the world but especially South America?

  3. Conflating this woman's pretty detailed account of her husband's sentiment to a Trump rioter's?

  4. A country's status as a "wonder of the world" means it is peaceful?

That is not rational.

I call bullshit. I have appraiser and brokerage licenses in NY/CT/NJ. NY and NJ are far worse. The renewal fees are higher. NY and NJ are more onerous when it comes continuing education credit. Oh, you forgot a class? $2,000 fine or more, and they report it to other states as an ethics violation. So, you have to give paperwork in the event you need a license.

They both have shitty websites, so even the process of renewal is a pain in the ass versus Connecticut.

This map is so fucked. Connecticut, Virginia, Iowa, Arkansas, Nevada and California are all the most burdensome states?

Show me the data, because that map looks like someone used random colors from the paint bucket tool.

Lithuanian people aren't Russian-speaking any more than anyone who learns to read Leo Tolstoy natively. I think they are probably more concerned with the Russian exclave that abuts their lands, and is a real sticking point in this growing global conflict.

Russia has no real need for what's left of East Prussia, and giving it to whomever in NATO probably would make it a pretty solid bargaining chip.

Language discrimination is just a bad idea. It never works.
