i once walked parts of the Camino de Santiago from Basel to santiago de compostela witha friend. We got lost between Lyon and Limoges, as we "took a shortcut" after realizing just how much walking the official routes (sometimes wrong way) would mean and we really wanted to stop by at Bordeaux and Santander to stay with friends.

That area was mostly woods.

Correct.

It was all about delaying and holding the Americans in the pacific. If any of my bullet points above would have been achieved it would have made America shift focus from the Atlantic to the pacific in order to secure the homeland.

That would have spelled doom for Britain (), that only held on by a thread due to American Lend lease - and the Soviets (that were supplied 400k jeeps/Trucks, 8k tractors, 13k tanks, 14k planes, 350 locomotives, 1.5mil blakets, 30 mil boots, 4.5mil tons of food via Iran [likely unaffected], Vladivostok [likely affected] and Archangel/Murmansk [likely affected]),

Not being able to control the pacific for a couple of months also would have spelled doom for the chinese that where supplied via the pacific (about 1/10th of what Russia received). And have delayed/scrapped operations in SE Asia, dependant on how far along the Japanase would have made it.

It is quite easy to look at this with hindsight, taking industrial figures into account and forgetting about the phsycological effect of having the enemy in your backyard, claiming your dog as their own.

It would have worked if any of the following would have happened:

  1. kill/sink all U.S. Carriers (4x) in their berths, or
  2. have the carrier strike group include an invasion force and take Hawaii, or
  3. destroy the Fuel Depots on Hawaii, or
  4. Stick around for more than 3 attack runs and kill the remaining 4 carriers while at sea.

As such history has been written and one only speaks Japanese in the U.S. for fun.

AND: Micro asteroids /debris, no servicing, All eggs -> one Basket (if it gets a microasteroid hit in the right place, your giant sattelite is done for, vs. you replacing that particular solar pannel on earth).

Also, and i might be mistaken on this, given my HS level physiks skills were not that good back then, but being hit by a tightbeam of RF Radiation in 2-3 GW-Range surely must be a lifealtering event.

you'll need:

  • 4 Eggs
  • 125 grams of Flour
  • 125 ml of milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder (3 gramms)
  • 40 gramms of sugar
  • 80 gramms of raisins
  • 4 Spoons of butter (40 gramms)
  • 1 Spoon of powderd sugar (4 gramms)

Steps:

  1. devide eggs by color; make dough out of egg-yellows, flour, salt, baking pwder and sugar. Dough should be smooth, let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. beat the eggwhites until you get stable beaten egg whites (Ei-Schnee / egg snow). carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the dough. Add raisins.
  3. heat pan to medium heat. Add 2 spoons of Butter ( 20 Gramms), add dough (all of it), fry until crunchy on the underside, then flip pancake and add the remaining butter, fry until gold-browns.
  4. add pancake to a plate, use forks to rip into pieces. add the powdered sugar, then serve.

real estate (or rather the ground its on) is still cheap in ALOT of the parts of the country. That might change tho when the next law regarding real estate taxes actually gets executed, and you don't just pay by the square meter of ground, but also the type of building that is build ontop of it.

Edit: nvm, just realized there is a "!" at the end of the sentence instead of the "?" i thought there was.
