Maybe true when I was in my 20’s. But I’m 48 and def don’t hang out with my coworkers anymore, as they are all half my age. I’m friendly with them, and we have fun at work (you have to in restaurants or you’ll end up crying in the walk-in)

All of my friends are people I met at different jobs, but 20-30 years ago.

Edit: a letter

Totally understand. I guess my work has always been entwined in my personal… I met my ex husband at work and all of my best friends are people I worked with at some point

Hey! I’m an old lady, so probably not gonna be able to help you in the socializing department (I’m a homebody myself) but can I ask… do you work? I found that during Covid and even after when I couldn’t find work (fucking ageism in restaurants is no joke) I got really depressed. No that I’m working again, and forced to be around people, my depression is gone. We are social animals, whether we feel that way or not. If you are not working, or working from home, would you consider getting a part-time job? You will totally make friends at work!

Tbf, I gave my 24 yo kid one of my hash rosin infused juices (250 mg in 8oz of juice). I have a really high tolerance, and drink the whole thing, but told him JUST A SIP! Of course, he didn’t listen to me, drank half the bottle, and got so high he puked. Just sayin, you can go beyond high into sick territory

Yes! It was the first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes this morning. I was actually a little confused at first, I’ve never seen the sky that color and it took a second to realize it was natural lol

So gorgeous

We really used to have a blast walking around and picking out a tree. The first year I did it as a single mom, I got my van stuck in the mud. I told my then 14 yo to get behind the wheel while I pushed (he had never driven before). I explained to him to push down SLOWLY AND GENTLY on the gas. He didn’t listen and COVERED me in mud. It was hysterical and he loves telling the story to this day. I miss that place!

I haven’t been since I moved from Litchfield county to Fairfield county, but we used to make a day of going to Angevine Farms and cut down our own tree. Such wonderful memories with the kids. Not sure what they cost these days, but 8 years ago a full-size tree (8 ft ish) was $45. And you’re supporting a local family. They have cute ornaments and hot cider in the little gift shop, too
