North Station is a glorified MNR platform, though. No Soul.

There is no population crisis.
As standards of living rise, birth rates decline.
Happening right now in lots of places around the globe.
People have been worried about this for 300 years.

As a character in one of his novels, Grip is believed to have inspired Poe's famous poem, and is on display in a Philadelphia public library by jableshables

SFO's problem is the way the connection is set up. They have an "Air Train" that hits every terminal, but you have to haul over to the BART station.
They should've built it out to the Milbrae station to directly connect with CalTrain and BART and stop splitting the BART services at the end of the line. It'd also hook right up with the new HSR line as well. Super Short sighted.

Too bad there's no rail transit to the airport...

Even just putting in something nice in those empty lots would do wonders, but I get the feeling there's some prohibitive costs associated with brownfield reclamation, because that' absolutely prim real estate (major train stop, two exit ramps from 95, walk to the waterfront...)

Merritt7 needs more trains to it. There should be a flyover just past Sono to avoid train congestion.

Why is it convoluted? They reused an old RR right of way, and with the BRT solution they used, different routes can branch off as needed.
It's been rated highly as a good use of the technology.

There's a big slice of ghetto and open parking lots between Stamford station and the nicer Harbor Pt areas that would make for amazing infill area.

Walk in to Penn from 7th ave under the MSG sign. Walk dead straight past the NJT stuff to where the Amtrak waiting room area is (was? haven't been on the train in a while).
Before you get to the oval you have to walk around, there is a Wells Fargo ATM, and next to it an ancient CRT monitor with trains and tracks. Go down the stairs there to the lower level once you find your track, and there you can take the middle corridor (Hilton Corridor?) to the stairs nearer you than Moynihan.
See this map. It's the third map as you walk into the station, then the 4th one when you get downstairs. Handicapped elevators are a good trick, too.

Does the secret entrance trick still work? Stairs to the lower level by the Wells Fargo ATM? My now wife was amazed when I showed it to her. Drops you way back on the train too so you have more seating options.
