The article says they're sending a squadron of A10's. It doesn't say they'll deploy from a carrier, they could deploy from Turkey, for example. The US has an airbase there.

Republicans are doing the same thing to libraries in the US. Republicans and the Taliban have so much in common. Both are run by violent fascists, terrorists, lunatics and religious fundamentalists.

Why? Fossil fuels and nuclear get subsidies too. They get much bigger subsidies. You also seem to be unaware that we have a major crisis with climate change and we need to build renewable energy as fast as possible, so even though it is cheaper, it is in our best interest to subsidize it anyway so we can build it faster. We should stop subsidizing fossil fuels though.

It costs money to mine coal and extract oil. It costs nothing for the sun to get to the solar panel or the wind to get to the wind turbine.

Lack of sex education and lots of religion and forced marriages are the reason people have more kids in those countries. The lack of education leads people to have kids before they can afford them, and they all end up living in poverty. German couples have sex education so they can plan when to have kids, and they choose not to because they're too expensive and take up too much time.

Renewable is cheaper EVEN WITH BATTERIES:

It has already been factored in and renewable is still cheaper than coal, even with batteries:

Renewable energy is cheaper EVEN WITH BATTERIES. So even that "hidden cost" that you mention isn't enough to make it more expensive than coal.

Mining coal and extracting oil costs money and destroys the environment. It's insane that you didn't know that. The sun and the wind are free, on the other hand.

False. Renewable energy is cheaper than coal EVEN WITH BATTERIES. It is not ruinously expensive as you falsely claim.

The market has spoken and it's saying renewable energy is the future. There's no way any other energy source can compete. With renewable energy, we don't pay for the cost of the energy itself, just for the equipment and maintenance. With all other forms of power generation, we pay for the energy in addition to the equipment and maintenance.

The executives leading the fossil fuel industry need to be prosecuted for engaging in bribery in pretty much every country to sabotage any action on climate change. This is unlikely to happen though, because those same governments that need to do the prosecuting have been bribed into submission.
What we can do is boycott fossil fuels. Get an electric car, use public transportation more often or walk if you can. Call your electric company and see if they have a green program. Many of them do. This means that your money will be going towards clean energy power plants instead of fossil fuel plants. I know not everyone can afford it, but those who can, should absolutely do it if they care about their own descendants. Electric vehicles are pretty cheap now, you can find ones that are about the same price as gasoline cars. There are used ones too that are really cheap.
Ignore the fossil fuel trolls that swarm this sub every time there is an article about climate change. Those bastards insult people who criticize the fossil fuel industry. I get insulted all the time by those motherfucking assholes when I criticize fossil fuels. Those childish trolls can go eat shit. Fuck you trolls! You evil bastards are part of the the reason the planet is dying. Those piece of shit trolls have blood on their hands.
Trolls, please go ahead and insult me. It's a great opportunity to get you banned and reduce the amount of lies and disinformation on this sub. Please, I dare you. I'm ready to report you any time if you want to get banned.

Maybe Germany needs to look at why its population is shrinking. Perhaps wages are too low, hours are too long, and people are just unable or unwilling to start a family due to lack of money and time. Employers need to give people more time and money to live.

Because scaling back production would hurt profits, and profits are more important than anything else to business owners.
Wwize t1_jdvbc9p wrote
Netanyahu has no choice but to end the overhaul because of the massive strike that includes businesses closing to support the strike. A strike by workers and businesses together is unheard of. Normally businesses are on the opposite end of the strike. This is checkmate for Netanyahu. Once he stops the overhaul, his coalition will fall because the extremists will leave the coalition. He's done.
