Back in the days of film cameras when you had to wait until it was developed to see what you got, I had gone to Versailles. I took a picture of the gardens from the top of the stairs. Apparently some Asian tourist was standing about 20 feet away looking directly at me. He was absolutely centered in the frame and it looked like I was taking a picture of him. Everyone asked who he was. I ended up putting the picture at the front of the photos album and writing an in memorium for my fictitious Asian friend.

Yeah. 99% eclipse is a lot closer to 0% than 100%

Our original plan was to go to Charleston to watch it on a boat, but then the weather was going to be shit for Charleston and I changed to north Georgia mountains. All the people we were going to see in Charleston were unimpressed by the eclipse behind 100% cloud cover.

That’s why for this next eclipse I’m reluctant to make big plans. Plane tickets, house rental, etc. what if there is a storm that day?

For the last eclipse I made my family drive an hour north. They said “Atlanta is 99% eclipse, why do we need 100%?” I said shut the fuck up and get in the car. Then right when it was going to happen it got cloudy where we were. I made them all get in the car and we drove 3 miles down the road for clear skies.

Totally worth it.

I have a friend who got burned out from coding. He got his electrician papers and started working at data centers because they need electricians on site for emergencies. Since few emergencies happen, he has 80% free time. You know what he does in His free time? Codes games. Funny guy, I tell ya.

To add some practical advice to this, go learn a trade like electrician or plumber. Get some skill you can get solid work from. You’ll be ok. No one is going to care about your history when they need a pipe leak fixed.

I’m celiac and on pasta nights I usually get my bolognese sauce over rice instead of pasta. Delicious.

I hear that she is going super meta with this show. She will play herself in real life and the “zombies” will be the various Walking Dead shows. She will spend 10 episodes “killing” the “zombies” by convincing the writers to quit and the production company to back a different series.

Edit: in the finale she uses a sword to cut off Gimple’s head and is then arrested and taken to jail.

It wasn’t bad, until the bad guy showed up. The last third of that movie was trash and ruined the first part completely.
