Here's some of her audition I could see her playing the role, but I think her nerves really just got the best of her here.
Carrie Fisher was playing it much more relaxed, with a almost slightly arrogant demeanor, and with a touch of the old Hollywood transatlantic accent.

Like A Surgeon reportedly came from Madonna, herself: Weird Al called her up to ask for permission to do a parody of her song, and she laughed and asked "What is it called, 'Like A Surgeon?'".
He thought the idea was actually a lot better than what he had come up with on his own, so he scrapped it and wrote an entire parody based off her idea!

Controversial view: A major reason so many people have anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc. anymore is because the vast majority of us spend too much time inside. We simply aren't exercising our muscles and walking, or stimulating our brains enough. We weren't meant to live this way.

Reply to comment by blues-brother90 in TIL Stan Lee made the X-Men mutants because he didn't want to come up with a reason for their super powers, instead they were just born with them. Additionally the 1963 comic was initially a flop until the 1975 reboot by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum. by jamescookenotthatone
The X-men were made by Jewish men, during the height of a very tumultuous civil rights movement that was going on in America at the time.
It was meant to be a very deliberate, and direct allegory to Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X but it was explained in a way that kids could understand. Magneto was a Jew, and an actual survivor of the camps in Germany.

Michael Jackson personally paid for the music videos to Weird Al's Eat It and Fat. He even let Al use his photographer, camera guy and make-up and hair team. The deal was that Michael wanted to be officially credited as a co-writer for the parodies, so they would be splitting the royalties.
Al has admitted that he had to hire lawyers just to handle those two songs, and that Michael's estate is still receiving annual royalties from them today.

He would layer multi-track acapella demos, like this.
He couldn't play any instruments, and he was doing this all by ear with no reference notes. He just wanted to show Quincy Jones how he imagined the arrangement for the guitars, the vocal harmonies etc.

Yes, but this research is showing us that a lot of them arent getting their RDA there anyways.
Life has also evolved - in the past couple of years especially - for everyone to be indoors, nearly 24/7. Reddit is full of people saying they haven't had to leave the house at all for weeks, because of working and studying at home, and getting food and supplies from Doordash and amazon.

Which is probably because Australians are, for the most part, genetically English and they're fair skinned. They can't handle a lot of direct sun light, so they're covering up and wearing sun screen.
