Reply to Newark needs this so bad. "Hoboken and Jersey City announce first protected bike lane connecting the 2 cities" by Top_Ad5385
Newark has a major issue prioritizing cars in its urban planning. This is especially prevalent with new downtown developments. Crazy to think once upon a time Bloomfield Avenue, among other avenues in this city, had streetcars running down them.

One of those little ball ones. Toss a couple in and any smell that could possibly escape a mason jar will be knocked out no problem.

While I greatly appreciate the renewed investment in Newark, I wish there was a focus on using the older forms of architecture present in the city. Maybe the planning board does a good enough job of this and I’m just oblivious, but Newark (and Essex County in general) just feels more authentic with the older wall-wall stuff.

Reply to Despite the lies from activists (The "Ghetto Lobby")..little to no gentrification in Newark. Measuring and Explaining Stalled Gentrification in Newark, NJ: The Role of Racial Politics | Urban Affairs Forum by Newarkguy1836
The gentrification is coming. Just give it time & be ready. Newark’s geographic position, rail connections, & currently depreciated property values make it a prime target for NY-centric gentrifier developers.
