Places like Wildwood, Point Pleasant, Ocean City, Seaside make their money from families feeling safe. They will identify a creep or scumbag and toss his ass out rapidly.

I'm not sure AC has enough experienced anti-scumbag detection infrastructure yet.

Like 1 out of 5 people is already a scallywag in AC. People go to AC to drink, gamble, and be a scallywag.

I'm not letting my kids run around alone there.

I would actually say that in 2023, Seaside Heights is a great place for teens.

Swarming with cops, and squeaky clean, but still garish and "edgy" enough for a teen and her friends to enjoy walking the boardwalk with an ice cream. Lots of families in addition to teens.

Whereas God knows what lurks in the "new arcades for gaming!" in AC.

Because it's AC and it doesn't yet have a tradition of being kid-friendly.

What it DOES have a tradition of is scumbags. Drunks, ass-grabbers, perverts, slimeballs, sketchy dudes, and scallywags.

I'm sure every POS on the East Coast will make a beeline for "lucky snake arcade."

I might walk around with my kids in that new arcade .... MAYBE.

But HELL NO would I let them walk around alone even as teens.

Every shady slimey scummy sleazy or worse guy on the planet is going to be wandering around in there, and probably while drunk.

Apparently Showboat got rid of its casino and now has a brand new child-frjendly arcade and go kart track called Lucky Snake Arcade.

However I'd keep a very tight eye on your kids in any kind of Atlantic City arcade.
