Alternatively I had the intelligence to basically sneak into UMaine but lacked the academic work ethic to keep up. Ended up wishing I stayed at community college. I still have to pay for the degree I don't have.

This opened a drive account with folders to different towns. I had recently been looking at my hometown’s historical society Facebook and the photos in that drive folder were some I’ve never seen before. So cool!

I would have never known about it had I not accessed my records online to print and bring to a new specialist. I just looked in my email and still have the proof. I documented it all but I didn’t know what to do and it didn’t go anywhere.

Around the time I found out that she altered my records, I was a nanny and telling the housekeeper that cleaned for the people I nannied for about the incident because she was telling me about a nurse at PCHC who was sending her husband inappropriate Facebook messages after their visits. I almost fell out of my pants when I found out we were discussing the SAME FUCKING WOMAN.

You can access the states licensing website, and I found out that she has been disciplined for unprofessional conduct but is now practicing again in that area still. I want to share her name but I’m afraid mods will remove it.

Hi- I just want to tell you that PCHC did retaliate against me years ago and to protect yourself.

I had left a negative google review (obviously with my name attached cause I was young and dumb) about a particular nurse practitioner without mentioning her name, and stopped seeing her altogether.

Over a year after I had stopping going to that clinic she accessed my records and made alterations that included removing my reason for seeing her (back pain that turned out to be the genetic autoimmune disease I kept telling her my father and his father have) and diagnosed me as a currently suicidal narcissist.

It sounds so fucking insane just typing this.

That is my problem as well…if you are struggling with anything else in life they go to collections before you can set anything up regarding income based repayment with the financial office.

The biggest slap in the face for me is that I owe some bills from pregnancy, yet the hospital I gave birth at changed over to a different records system and now has no record of any of the tests/procedures I’m still supposed to pay for.

Medical debt is really holding me back and it’s very frustrating. The only thing I’ve ever bought that I can’t afford to keep is my life. I do plan on keeping it, but I’ll be paying for it for.

Thomas Agency can kiss my ass cheeks.

Absolutely recommend lessons. Anyone can learn but lessons definitely speed up the process and help solidify skills. Definitely make sure you have a good coat, pants, and gloves and good layers - as you go up the mountain and cool off from a run it gets cold quick.

Some different advice from what you’ve received- make sure to be hydrated and nourished so that your muscles are ready to work and be prepared to be sore. Snowboarding is a lot of squatting back and forth on your heels and toes and you’ll be sore as your muscles acclimate. If you feel discouraged in the beginning keep in mind snowboarding gets better as you gain skill and move up the mountain. The snow is usually packed hard from traffic near the bottom of the mountain but as you move up you’ll find runs with pillowy soft snow that will be so much fun to ride through. Don’t forget to have ibuprofen on hand for the ride home! You’ll sleep well during those weeks!

I delivered DoorDash for a bit last year. I had one order that specified that I should leave their food on the folding metal chair outside their house. There was a metal chair, but it was in the middle of their yard. I sent a message that said “food is on chair per delivery instructions” and sent this picture .

Still chuckle about it wondering if they meant the toilet?

20 years ago my sixth grade teacher made a report. A caseworker came to my school and we went into the principals office where they had me remove my shirt to photograph my injuries. Then they sent me home like nothing happened and I never saw that caseworker again.

Things were bad before. I can't begin to explain how bad things got after that report was made though.

It feels very akin to getting broken up with and claiming people just aren’t dating anymore.

The people who didn’t want to work were those that walked away with hundreds of thousands of dollars in forgiven PPP loans while maintaining or exceeding pre-pandemic revenue.

I’m just shocked that out of pure integrity businesses didn’t voluntarily pay it back. /s

Don’t talk about *or to unions. Don’t expect to be paid more when doing more. Don’t complain about the pay because you have good benefits and don’t take time off to use the benefits because we need you. But we don’t really need you because your co-worker has been doing the work of the last guy that quit and still kisses my ass. If you don’t like it you can find another job…but you’d be letting the team down so stay or go, we don’t care just don’t quiet quit either. Nobody wants to work anymore.

Thinking about coming up with a plan to move my family out of Maine. After growing up in rural Maine and experiencing all the bad parts of rural life I have no interest in going back and there’s no options left in the city. We’re working harder than we’ve ever worked and getting bent over groceries, fuel, and paying twice what we paid for rent a decade ago. Employers aren’t budging on wages and god forbid you take a job for the benefits, good luck having a day granted off to even use the benefits. Trying to break out of the generational cycle of being poor and uneducated from rural Maine feels like a farce. I’ll never make enough to even take care of my aging grandparents and they had to sell everything off just to have a place to finish their lives with dignity.
