Such a shitty thing to do.
I was doing wedding prep today and our florist came out of the backroom crying after taking a call. She had heard the active shooter reports and had to leave to go pick up her kid.
Even if it was a false alarm it terrified everyone involved. So some asshole can have some lolz.

There used to be multiple McDonalds downtown. But they were pretty run down and run poorly. Only one left is Market Square.

There is quantum computing to potentially get us past that limit. And we have distributed cloud computing capacity that means we're no longer limited by the local computing capacity of a small confined space within a single computer.
And the fact that increasing sophistication of software doesn't necessarily require constant increases in computing power to get better results. Our brains aren't that large and have general intelligence and consciousness.
I don't necessarily agree with the conclusions of the article's premise, but I don't see us hitting a brick wall in progress soon.

Uh. No. They're both 8 joint-legged creatures with bulbous bodies and exoskeletons. Compared to a fish and a cow they are extremely similar.
If ya'll want to convince yourself that eating crabs isn't gross I understand it. But it's pretty funny hearing you all act like they're not very close.
I'm happy you enjoy your ocean bugs.

A lot of people think shrimp and crabs look like bugs. Myself included. Part of the reason I don't like crabs. And I hate shrimp when they have heads and feet still attached.
Don't know why you think I want you to eat bugs. I never said that. I don't want to eat insects or crab. I think all invertebrates are gross.

Except spiders actually look like crabs. Cows don't look like fish.

Insects are descended from marine crustaceans.

Yeah it's quite a bit different. There's a reason it's one of the biggest shows Netflix ever made. Because it's different.

It's definitely wasn't made as "just another teen show". It was pitched and created as an homage to Stephen King books/movies of the 80s. And the young kids weren't even teens and were all nerdy outcasts. There was also an entire adult subplot. The teens only made up 1/3 of the show and they weren't the main characters.
When I saw the first trailers and info it never struck me as "yet another teen show". It seemed refreshingly different and something I instantly wanted to watch.

I liked Britta season one. I hate how she was bullied so much and then Flanderized into a weird blonde bimbo.

Honestly the first few seasons are the best. You'll be fine. Some shows even start with the ending and then flash back to how we got here. So just think of it like that.

Well I appreciate that you have a point of comparison. Most people bitching on here don't seem to. Sounds like you just need to move somewhere warm.
You still haven't said what you think sucks about Pittsburgh. Other than a vague "quality of life".

Ok sure. There's a lot of newer homes out west. And modern infrastructure in newer suburbs. But most big cities on the east coast are built on old infrastructure.
But I mostly meant you're going to need repairs everywhere. Even a house built in 1960 is going to be showing its age. Pittsburgh isn't unique when it comes to housing repair needs.

I found a nicish house in a nicish neighborhood for around $150. (I've never worried about crime here.) Didn't really need much work. Has central air. I'd say I just got lucky but when we were shopping around I saw a lot of places in my price range that were similar. Most got snapped up before I could even bid but they're out there.
2020 majorly spiked prices because interest rates were so low. Things are cooling off again with interest rate hikes. Just go on Zillow and look around. There's some nice stuff out there.

That's a couple hundred higher than mine and I found a pretty nice 2 story with a finished basement in a nicish part of Brookline. We did some refurbs, but it didn't really need it.
You can definitely find good homes in Pittsburgh for that price range. Took us a while but they're out there.
