Aw thanks! I’m a huge book nerd. It was like free gold for me.

Right?! I would have had my brother get 2 #31s and eat one for me. That used to be our thing - I’d come up to hang out with him at his music store, and go get 2 of them, and we’d hang out and chow down. I hope they get a stand-alone place!

Yeah, whenever I come up to visit, they’re the only reason I go in the mall.

I worked at that Ruby Tuesday’s for a long time. Used to steal the coverless paperback books Borders threw away in the dumpsters when we were tossing the trash!

Same! #31, no crab Rangoon, sub chicken teriyaki.

I was just talking to my brother (small business owner in PI) about this, and he said he went last weekend and it was a ghost town inside. I’m gonna miss that awesome Chinese food! I love that family there, they’re awesome.

Redwings last (if you want someone from a lumber mill’s opinion). Tried LeHigh because they sent a truck to our mill - they lasted a little over a month. Learned real quick the Vimes’ theory of boots. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boots_theory

I lucked out - it’s in the international section of Walmart here in Michigan.

Apparently. All I know is there was always a huge stock pot in the fridge, and we’d just scoop out a bowl, microwave it, hit it with the seasoned salt, and chow down.

Yeah, I’ve been to a few churches in the Bangor area - they love the verses where you get to judge, skip the ones about helping your fellow man.

Just said this same thing further up. Hated it growing up. So I make it my own way now, and my kids lick the plate clean. No thanks to creamed corn.

Fuuuuck, I hated the creamed corn. I make it with mixed veggies now, or peas and carrots. Might not be original, but it’s good! And 2 packets of brown gravy mix.

I used to get wicked good Mexican food at the Bangor farmer’s market by the fairgrounds. That was a few years back though - if they still do it Saturday mornings, it’s worth checking out!
