do you get a discount or something? otherwise, it makes no sense at all to even consider this, unless you're going to be tied up somehow and won't be able to actually pay it... going on a six-month trek in the amazon?

depends on the water. 'pure' water is actually an insulator, so that wouldn't work

if it has ions dissolved, e.g. SALT (not sugar!) or SOAP (don't drop the radio in the tub!) then it becomes a conductor and then, depending on what is IN the water, might kill it

but then you're left with ionised (salty, soapy, other) water full of muck

just boil it dude.

of course there is. PNGs are great! JPGs ate my bane (i'm a graphic artist)

but now i wonder if the data-per-pixel will be ONLY 3 channel (RGB), 1 byte, or if it will have more than 3 channels, and will it have more range per pixel (2 bytes gives 16,384 levels of grey per channel instead of only 256... much more nuance and detail.

i should probably look it up instead of speculating lol
