Brevard/Asheville are great. Charlotte has its perks.
Raleigh/Durham “Triangle” is a vast suburban hellscape. It’s miles upon miles of 6 lane roads, stoplights, strip malls, and office parks. If you turned Microsoft Word into a city, it would be the triangle. It’s one of my least favorite cities I’ve ever been to in my life.

Sheetz has more food options, but I feel like they are lower quality. Wawa sandwiches are far superior. Sheetz has a surprisingly wide range of deep fried things though I guess?

Spring seeding in Richmond is a waste of money. Unless we have an unseasonably mild summer very little survives.

ACAC has a steam room and a sauna, if two counts as multiple.

No way. The placement of the extra pockets on cargo shorts makes your cargo flop around and constantly smack your legs as you walk. They are ill suited to carrying cargo!

Went to the gym this morning for the last time for a week or two. Taking a break and avoiding the resolution crowds.

Yeah it’s a shame Donald McEachin didn’t give them more warning as to when he was going to die so they could put together a mail in election.

Wow couldn’t that congressmen give more warning of when he was going to die so as to not inconvenience anyone?

The Maggie Walker House is a often overlooked museum that’s amazing. It’s a really good tour of the house, what life was like then, insight into who she was and why she was important, and the historic significance of Jackson Ward.
Follow it up with a drive out to Evergreen Cemetery to see her grave and check out the very pretty yet overgrown old section of the cemetery

I had shingles, and that drug. I wanted to tell the pharmacist “it’s shingles, not genital herpes!” The drug is used for both and I’m sure the assumption for anyone not middle aged is that it’s not shingles.

Gtfo with that untoasted circular bread. It reminds me more of the Midwest than New York.

Random crime is very rare. In any city most crime is between people who know each other. If you’re not involved in shady drug deals you don’t have much to worry about.
