I know the national gallery of art has gala’s that you can attend for free. Just look up the dates that tickets become available for the next one and book asap (like within seconds) to get a ticket. I went to one with some friends it was cool

it's not a smithsonian museum, but definitely visit the national gallery of art, they have a fantastic collection

unfortunately i doubt any local bars are gonna be playing the national finals. maybe you could find a private party showing the MGP final though?
