there ain’t. i posted about it below, but it’s based off of a 2011 facebook post

this article is absolute disinformation / low info stuff meant to drive clicks. if you click through, the facebook post/photo that this article cites is OVER 10 YEARS OLD and was referring to what turned into the katahdin woods and water monument.
here’s a link to it - boo. https://m.facebook.com/RESTOREtheNorthWoods/photos/pb.100064760825947.-2207520000./10150330158483675/?type=3&wtsid=rdr_0DFmIUF7f9Z17FUna

(extremely boston raspy two-packs-a-day voice) WHDH has never been a fox affiliate, they were CBS way back in the day and then swapped affiliations with WBZ, which was NBC at the time. they’ve been independent since 2017

they get no sick time and 1 personal day a year with this proposed contract. solidarity between workers is more important than quitting to work a shittier job

unfortunately maine is not at all affordable, and you will only find that kind of bargain if you’re sharing a place. upstate new york (generally the southern tier but also the capital region) is much better price-wise. even binghamton is starting to turn around, its in large part due to the colleges.
as for your other questions, car insurance is super cheap in maine, but utility bills are garbage.

yes, they’re poorer and in worse shape than we are in the northeast. this is a tremendous mess of “research” either way you put it.
