Let’s be honest, those both look like ass.

I keep getting targeted ads on Instagram for their Grateful Dead nights. Need to get out there sometime.

Yeah that was really questionable - especially considering that another Tulane player was paralyzed from a hit in a game not too long ago.
Great to see them turn that program around…when I was there, I think they maybe hit 3 wins in a season at their best, and were regularly the laughingstock of D1 football. I’m sure the new stadium on campus is helping as well.

It seems like the first day back after a long holiday break gets worse every year. Walking into the office through Dilworth Park this morning while they were taking down the tree and remaining Christmas village stuff really emphasized the post-holiday malaise.
At least Tulane won the Cotton Bowl yesterday. Hell of a game. Now if the Birds can stop stepping on their dicks and take care of business on Sunday, that would be ideal.

It’s everywhere, not just Philly. Was in Boston for Thanksgiving and saw one of his billboards with something like “wicked good results.” Such a weenie.

Reply to Former Center City Burger King will become a thrift store and health-care center by ColdJay64
Ok, I was ready to snark on this because this corner is such a shithole, but AHF is a great organization and the Out of the Closet thrift stores are pretty solid. Hopefully they invest in some decent security to keep it from going to shit.

Reply to Cheapest grocery stores Old City/Center City/surrounding neighborhoods? by gaja_s7p3m4f8-3b
Riverwards is generally expensive, but they nearly always have produce and breads marked down to $1/bag. Definitely worth checking out.
It’s a bit of a walk, but the Italian Market can’t be beat for produce and meat prices.

12 Steps Down has surprisingly great food for a dive bar.
Monk's is always a good choice.
Khyber Pass also has great food.

Brauhaus Schmitz is always a good bet for World Cup stuff…they’ll probably have it on the big screen in the back room too.

We’ve been using the Christmas Tree Stand for delivery in Old City the last few years. Not the cheapest, but great trees and super easy delivery!

Reply to Best Pizza Spots in Philadelphia? by thestar1818
Angelo's is the clear #1. Paulie Gee's is a close second. After that, any of the following: Pizza Brain, Shackamaxon, Hook & Master, The Angelo, Beddia, Down North, Emmy Squared, and Santucci's are all great.
Rosario's or Chiquita's for very different, but still fantastic Mexican pies.

Seems ridiculous that they don’t. When I lived in LA, they aggressively towed for sweet sweeping…I had to sprint outside half dressed to move the car in the morning after forgetting about it so many times.
