If you get off at exit 48 Westbrook/ Portland, I'm pretty sure Tasty Fried Chicken (next to JoAnn Fabric) is open until midnight if not later? If you are willing to venture further downtown, there's a few spot open until 1 or 2.

Not terribly far and a great hike for views on a clear day is Hogback Mountain in Montville.
Also Morse's and Old Alewives in Waldoboro
A little out of the way but still in the region is Sheepscot General Store which is awesome!

I've spent much of my life in southern Franklin County and drive through LF almost biweekly and have NEVER been to chuck wagon. Because of this comment I am definitely going now. I think it's a huge plus that it's survived this long!
