Lol, bullshit. Plenty easy to generate sufficiently random numbers for any purpose without these boondoggles.

It's not a fine, it's a patent lawsuit over a ridiculous patent.

Wait, but stick with me here, if they all try to hire them back there will be competition for them and salaries will remain high, no?
Not sure what you're saying. Salaries are determined by supply and demand in the market for your labor. If a bunch of companies later decide to hire people back, salaries will go back up.

Rubbish. Formerly Intel's 10nm was e.g. closer to TSMC's 7. Feature sizes are not as simple as "Xnm, derp!"". Intel's new naming scheme more closely aligns with what TSMC/Samsung are using.

Lol, no they wouldn't. And there's more to a server ecosystem than just the raw processor, they'd have to develop and deliver a whole lot of servery shit.

He pretty much just started, and inherited this mess. And his bona-fides are actual engineering of the old school variety. So I don't know how you can say he's just "good at marketing" based on anything.

Oh, they're coming. How do you think the west coast is going to have to deal with their water problem? Nuclear power and desalination.

You're missing my point. We should have started massive build-outs 50 years ago. We didn't because of the Usual Suspects (big oil, and "environmentalists").
Now they keep saying the same shit, "oh, it's too late! Too expensive! We'll have Renewables Any Day Now".

The fact that the anti nuclear brigade has been saying this same shit for 40 years is a huge part of the reason behind the looming climate crisis.
So thanks for that.

And...? Is that supposed to be scary or bad sounding? You do know soup can actually be better after it's been stored in the fridge a while, right?
