Too many candidates in primary for GOP that lead to a concentrated group of “patriots” to pull votes for Doug. To many republicans found him over the top. He relied on a grass roots effort of extremists. Oz wasn’t the favorite he barely won the primary. Had he not gone after Kathy Barnette, she’d have won the primary. Again too many people in one race. And the republicans really didn’t like either guy so they just left things blank.

Contact your state senators office and explain. They have constituent services that can contact someone in Harrisburg and help. Keep tract of everything you are doing, every email, call, attempt to call or go online. Over half the people that work for them have no idea what they are doing or the actually rules and laws. They will make tons of mistakes but you will be the one blamed. The state knows UE is a huge problem but they haven’t been able to fix it. The best thing to do is get the senators office involved and have a timeline of events. The putting the stuff in on the UE is easy but they can’t seem to get it together.

There’s a place in Washington PA called Popcorn Willies that is now doing pastries including cakes. I know she has done wedding cakes. Their stuff is getting rave reviews and we’ve liked what we’ve ordered.

I remember during covid when this story came out. It’s a cute little place and the milk is good, and you can get it raw. The best Creamline milk in the area is Twin Brooke Dairy in Bentleyville And Linden Dairy in North Strabane is also very good. Whoa Nellie has the nicest and really only shop.

I feel like there should be another category like over 500. Over 250 makes it look like the counties with major cities and have much higher numbers are in the same category as counties that don’t have close to what the big cities have. I’d also like to see the population density in the counties. Also chains vs non chain.

Like so much of Western PA,politics. Some guy who was somehow connected to the former state rep, the rep may have been his lawyer, I don’t remember all the details. He bought all these buildings because they thought river boat gambling was coming. It didn’t and he let it all fall apart. It’s sad because they have shot a lot of stuff there and there’s so much history to this town. It was supposed to be what Pittsburgh became.

There’s a lot of good info on here. I have always heard of you have a senior, child or disabled person they can’t cut off utilities. I would think it having working heat the same. Call the state senator for this area and start there. They may be able to call a county person or get through to someone quicker than going through the bureaucracy.

There is a study the US Census does called the American Community Survey. One of the questions is about commenting to work, how people do it, when they leave, how long commutes are and if driving if they do it alone or with others. I think they break it down by zip codes or municipalities. That could be helpful.
