So yeah.. side effect of this was any RIPTA routes that use 95 or one of the major N/S roads you can take instead were severely delayed. I was downtown to take the 14 and it never came, twice. I never saw the 66 the whole time either. I went home at 8:30 when I finally heard the highway was closed.

The only thing that will help bring rent prices down, just like inflation in every industry, is price controls. You underestimate the sheer greed of unregulated capitalism.

Similar things have been happening in Salem, MA for over a month. The streets are just too narrow to handle a crowd of 100,000 people each day, not to mention vehicle traffic (which the town has been actively discouraging by closing streets and asking people to use mass transit).

There was also the Traviswold thing that happened a few months back. The concert venue was oversold and overcrowded, and people got suffocated & trampled.

My go-tos lately have been either Ebisu or Pho Saigon (yeah I realize it's not ramen), both in Cranston.

The exit numbers were changed so that they match whatever mile marker you're at. I hear it's supposed to be a nationwide change.

Ohh that shop in Warren.. I used to go there. The owner is awesome, but the other patrons were big time edgelords.

It's a very frustrating time for the gaming scene here. We used to have soooo many excellent shops from Die Hard to Mana Core to Rah-Cocos that had ample free gaming space. Now the only places left in the city like that is one shop that's extremely corporate and overpriced and charges to just sit & play, and the handful of others that just doesn't have enough space.
