Saco has a “swap tent”. It’s just to the right as you drive in.
Also, when dropping things the construction/wood pile that aren’t quite swap material, but not complete trash, they tell you to put it on the ground in front of the pile in case someone does want it. I got a beat up solid wood kitchen island that I repaired and refinished from there.

You’d better have a good paying job lined up or rich parents. Apartments are on par with Boston but salaries are not.
Aside from cost, it’s a great city. It has its issues (homelessness, NIMBYism, etc), but overall it has a lot to offer and the people I know living there now enjoy it.

Rapid Rays in Saco is open til 11 most nights. Old style burger stand, no seating, about 5-8 min off the turnpike. Unfortunately there isn’t much open past 10-11 around here.

RT5 gets my vote as well. It’s well taken care of and has minimal potholes. Favorite stretch is the 50mph zone from Saco to the rotary in Dayton.

Prelude is over, but Kennebunkport is still decked out for Christmas, and most of the shops and restaurants are still open through Christmas.

Not every company participates in it, so lots of really great employers don’t make the list. The ones that do, often push their employees to fill out the survey for it so they get listed.
I work at a company not on the list that has amazing culture, competitive pay, great benefits, decent PTO, and a very flexible hybrid wfh model. I’d say it’s one of the better places in the state.

Trans Atlantic route. JFK, Boston, Washington, Philly, LaGuardia arrivals most likely. If you download FlightRadar app, you can see where all the planes are going in real time.

The Axe Pit in SoPo is a good time. Head over to Round 1 afterwards for some bowling and arcade games.

They MIGHT have Dexter Russell or Victoronix knives. If you see them, these are probably the best you’ll find at Renys. Both are used as “house knives” in a lot of commercial kitchens.

That whole area used to be a trash incinerator that absolutely stunk. I’m happy with the progress downtown Biddeford has made. It’s not perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot better than it was in the 1990s. Unfortunately some people will continue to judge the city based on experiences from the past and have not visited recently.

There’s honestly no secret place for cheap lobster unless you have family or friends in the industry. You’re going to find similar prices for the most part, maybe +/- $1lb fluctuations depending on how touristy places are. Drive around some coastal towns and you’ll happen upon some small businesses selling fresh catch.

I love hanging out in there. The fireplace on a cold winter day is the best. It’s also near my work and makes for a great happy hour spot.
