While I agree, a ticket is far from jail time.

Possession is just a desk ticket. It's no worse then speeding.

Absolutely. It's a spring tradition!

Before moving up we would drive up occasionally to visit my wife's family. Up on Friday, down on Sunday. I absolutely hated it. Now that I live up here we occasionally drive down on a Friday and up on a Sunday. It's magical by comparison.

It's not a monetary thing, but a thrill. I've known guys who were pretty set, getting shoplifting charges for bs low value items.
In a general sense I get your point. I just don't believe that most crime is committed by people trying to get by honestly.

Ugh. Private prisons should be illegal. That tidbit of info has definitely soured part of my Sununu views. Thank you for sharing. It's not even the potential family ties abuse that bug me, it's fact that he supports them at all.

He's also been known to bow down to the police unions, who have spent so long treating it as a major crime they can't begin to contemplate it as nothing. It's a systemic brainwashing.

Yes, because if they legalize it first then it becomes a lot more difficult to control sales later. Though I think legalizing personal possession would be a wonderful stop gap. it's not like they're stopping anyone from buying weed when most of the state is within 2 hours of legal purchase and the worst you'll get is a desk ticket.

If you could hear my neighbors popping off hundreds of dollars in rounds every weekend you would doubt the reason for hunting is because of expenses.
I'm not mad at them. Just wish I knew them better to join them!

I know a couple years ago epa regs changed and a lot of wood and pellet stoves had to go because stores could no longer legally sell them. A lot of them couldnt be returned to the manufacturer either. Not sure if this is the case but perfectly good things get thrown out all the time for legal reasons.

I'm in that fun area of Gilford that got about 18 inches of heavy snow. I didn't understand why everyone at work said the storm wasn't too bad until I drove in today and saw for myself how easy some of you guys had it.

I What can I do? by Vegetable_Medium_458
My wife was dating a guy a few decades back that canceled his insurance and then drove it to the shop he was selling it to. Got into an accident on the way there (his fault) and was responsible for the entire cost of the accident. He lost his license for two years until he could pay it. Letting insurance lapse is too risky, but I know the struggle. Hindsight's always clearer. Not ragging on you, just sharing.

The state gets a shit ton of money from all the political tourism so yes, I would care. Outside of the economics of it? It does mean we get national attention and support for issues like we did with the opioid epidemic. (Not that's its over) so yes. I like that too.
